Today, we talk about the slimmest smartphone of 2021 : The Mi 11 Lite launched by Xiaomi India.
Launched with an industry best ergonomics, the Mi 11 Lite is Xiaomi's latest offering under the price bracket of Rs. 25000.
The device comes with a thickness of just 6.81 mm and a weight of just 157g. The device is not just the slimmest and lightest phone of 2021, it offers great things on other fronts as well.
THE DISPLAY
Mi 11 Lite comes with a 6.55 Inch 10-bit Full HD+ 90 HZ AMOLED display which can produce upto 1.07 billion colors and supports HDR 10 as well. This display has better color accuracy as compared to other devices in this range as they rock a standard 8-bit display. The display is protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 5, which is not the latest in the market but does the work.
THE PERFORMANCE
The device comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G with max clock speed of 2.3 GHZ. The thing to note here is that it's not a 5G processor hence the device doesn't supports 5G networks sadly. Also the processor was launched by Qualcomm way back in August 2020 with a 8nm technology. The processor is capable enough to handle popular games like Battle Ground Mobile India (BGMI) and even day-to-day usage but it can't be said that it's a gaming centric device.
If we have a look at the competition there are devices which have been launched with better processors like Snapdragon 750G which even have a support for 5G.
THE POWER
The device comes with a 4250 MAH battery and supports 33W fast charging through it's Type C USB port. Given the fact that it has an AMOLED display, the battery should easily last for a typical working day. Again the competition is giving 5000 and even 6000 MAH batteries but again Xiaomi's objective here has been to make the slimmest and lightest device hence there has been a compromise on the battery size.
THE CAMERA
The main camera given in the device is a 64 MP sensor with an aperture of 1.79 which will help to capture bright images even in indoors. The second camera here is a 8 MP ultra-wide angle with an aperture of 2.2 which to be honest is just an average camera going by it's specs. The third camera is a 5MP tele-macro camera with an aperture of 2.4.
The device also comes with a 16MP selfie camera with an aperture of 2.45 which should do the basic job of producing decent selfies good enough for your Instagram.
THE SOFTWARE AND THE USER-INTERFACE
Xiaomi has been notorious with it's infamous MIUI 12 pushing Ads and bloatware on all of it's devices, the same is true enough even for the Mi 11 Lite. The device comes with a Android 11 based MIUI 12 out of the box. Even-though there has been no official word on how long enough the device will receive Android Updates and MIUI updates, going by the track record you can expect at-least 1 Android update and 2 major MIUI updates spread across a span of 2-2.5 years.
The competition here is offering better software experience with the likes of OnePlus's Oxygen OS and even Samsung's OneUI.
MISCELLANEOUS
The device comes with Dual speakers. a glass back and supports all of the major sensors. The options available to buy are 2 - 6 GB ram + 128 GB Storage and 8 GB ram + 128 GB storage. The ram used in Mi 11 lite is DDR4X which should do the job perfectly and the storage is UFS 2.2 which is pretty fast.
In terms of connectivity the device supports 4G/3G/2G networks with carrier aggregation support on 4G network. It comes with a Dual Hybrid sim slot support as well. Also there is a support for dual band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.1.

THE FINAL VERDICT
Mi 11 Lite can't really be called as the best phone you can buy under 25000. It is recommended to go with his device only if you are looking for a slim & light phone and if 5G and heavy gaming is not your priority, otherwise there are plenty of options available to buy at a cheaper rate with better specifications.
