" Honor 9 Lite is a Refreshing Piece of beauty"
Launched on 17th January 2018 in India, Honor 9 lite is the 4th consecutive smartphone to be launched by Huawei with 18:9 display. Surely Huawei has picked up this display trend well in time which is a laudable thing.
The first impression one can make about the Honor 9 Lite is that it is surely beauty at its best with shining full view 18:9 display and glossy glass back which comes in different colors like Black, Blue, and Grey.
Honor 9 lite sports a 5.65" Full HD+ display with smaller bezels which facilitates great single-handed usage. There is no specific mention of glass protection on the front as well as the back.
Coming back to Honor 9 Lite's hardware it is powered by the Kirin 659 processor clocked at 2.36 MHZ which is an in-house chipset of Huawei, based on the power efficient 16nm f/f process. The processor surely drives the Honor 9 Lite in an efficient way with the great day-to-day usage performance but average gaming performance.
Honor 9 Lite's USP is the dual 13MP + 2MP cameras on the rear as well as the front with capabilities to produce great daylight portrait shots. Obviously, the camera's performance isn't great at all in low light. Coming to its video recording capabilities, it neither has an OIS nor an EIS so videos captured won't be stable at all.
On the software front, it is running on the latest Android Oreo 8.0 with feature-rich EMUI 8.0, which is another icing on the cake 😋
As of now, there is no information regarding future android updates.
It has a 3000 MaH battery which takes anywhere around 2 1/2 hours to charge up as the device comes with the older USB type B😓 The battery can easily last for a 1 1/2 day which is obviously subjective to the usage pattern.
It comes with 32/64 GB internal storage along with 3/4GB of ram.
While the 3GB ram variant is priced at ₹10999 in India, the 4GB ram variant is costly at ₹14999. I would say it is wiser to buy a 3GB ram variant instead of paying ₹4000 more for the 4GB ram variant.
I must say that all and all the device is a great buy at Just ₹10999 giving a tough competition to likes of Redmi Note 4, Mi Al and it's own Honor 7X😂
